Beren was our foundation male corso. It's hard to put down in words how much he meant to us. He was our introduction to cane corsos and it is because of him we fell so in love with the breed. He was a remarkable specimen. Even people familiar with large breed dogs couldn't help but comment on how impressive he was. More than one person told us he looked like he was part panther. Maybe the legends that tell of crossing dogs with lions aren't too far from the truth.

Beren stood almost 29 inches at the withers and in his prime weighed 155 pounds. Even though he was slightly larger than the AKC breed standard, he had no problem becoming an AKC Champion and then an AKC Grand Champion. He was also the first cane corso to recieve an AKC Certificate of Merit in 2010, the year the AKC officially recognized the breed.

We have wonderful memories of our big Mr. B. There has never been a more noble, loving, and faithful companion than our Beren. He passed away during Daytona Beach Bike Week 2016 which only seems fitting. He was always a big hit with the bikers. Even with all those amazing choppers coming and going, nothing turned heads and drew a crowd faster than our super stud, Mr. B.

His spirit lives on through his offspring and it makes us smile when we see one of his old mannerisms show itself in our current dogs. His bloodline, directly descended from one of the original 6 corsos brought into this country, continues today in the dogs we own and the puppies we produce. A little bit of Beren is in each one of those puppies and we sincerely hope that they bring as much joy into someone's life as Beren brought into ours.

He will always be a part of us and we consider ourselves blessed to have had such an incredible dog in our lives.
